It is the time of year in which school is back in full swing for kids. They are now engrossed in learning, searching and gaining knowledge that will serve them for years to come. Each night, when I get home, I ask my kids, “what did you learn today?” Of course, the expectation is that they learn something new everyday and to report on that new experience and knowledge when they get home. This nightly exchange got me to thinking; what have I learned today? And that is my question to you as well.
What have you learned today? Something new, something that will stretch you, make you better, increase your sales ability, help your customers or simply enrich your life. This is something we should all strive to do. I mean, we are going to be here anyway, right? So, why not see how much we can learn to better help our customers, family, friends and acquaintances? What else are you going to do, just hang on until the bitter end? Not try to learn and grow? Ha! Not AMSOIL Dealers!
Let’s narrow this down a bit and just talk about your AMSOIL business. How about setting a goal as to learning one thing new about your AMSOIL business, everyday? Search the Dealer Zone for information on growing your business. You will find a great deal of information under the training tab that will help you do just that! Why not find out better ways to administrate your business so you can spend more time face-to-face with your existing customers or prospects? How is your product knowledge? Order the Home Study guides and make sure that you understand the basics contained in these materials so you can speak from authority when discussing AMSOIL lubricants with your customers. How about the AMSOIL Garage? Can you walk one of your customers through the process of setting up their vehicles in this program? You should be able to as this is a great tool for growing your customer base. (Hint: If you have an installer that doesn’t use their own reminder service, this idea should be on the top of you list.) How about your sales reports? Are you accessing this area of the Dealer Zone to see what your sales reports are telling you? Do you know how to gain knowledge and insight from these reports to help grow your AMSOIL business? Are you a member of the Premium Dealer Zone so you have access to the Dashboard reports? Do you know the “ins and outs” of the AMSOIL Marketing Plan? What is the best way to optimize your earnings? Do you know the easiest way to sign up a PC, Dealer, Retail or Commercial account? (You should!) Do you know how to look up a product recommendation using the product look-up guides?
I know I have listed off a lot of subjects, and I could keep going, but I think you get the picture. Don’t try to do all of this at one time, but do set out goals to better understand the AMSOIL business opportunity available to you. One thing that I know for sure is that people will overestimate what they can do in a day, but underestimate what they can do in a lifetime. So, map out a strategy to learn more about growing your AMSOIL business with the tools you have available to you. For assistance with putting together your goals, your contact process should be; your sponsoring Dealer, your up-line Direct Jobber and then your Regional Sales Manager. You have people ready and willing to help you.
The AMSOIL Dealer Zone holds a wealth of knowledge for growing your AMSOIL business, but it won’t do you any good unless you seek the information you need. Remember, a good idea rarely interrupts you, you have to go looking for it. An old saying says that if you seek, you shall find. But remember to find, you need to seek. Seek out information that will help you grow your business.
